There was no surprise

My two days off proved to be just as busy as this month has been thus far. Cars (yes both of them) ended up needing repairs so Wednesday and Thursday (my days off mind you) were spent taking cars back and forth to the dealership and then cleaning my mother's house to "work off" the $1200. She gave me to fix the cars because oh yea.. I didn't have the money.
Money is the root of all evil... I hate Money so much but yet... I still want more. Never ending cycle.
I got a part-time job. Since Fred's passing and Judy has thrown herself back into the store I haven't gotten any work because legitimately they cannot afford it. So, I humbly went back to Lane Bryant and asked Esther if she has anything part-time available. Thankfully Esther is very familiar with me (I worked with her back when I was working there before hand) and she quickly responded with, "when can you start?" I was so thrilled. So, now I'll be working Mon-Wednesday evenings probably 4 to close. I know I'm gonna be mad tired working 60hour work weeks but for a little while I need that extra money to get back on my feet. I figure I'll do it until I can't do it any longer and then I'll cut my availability down to maybe just 1 or 2 days a week... just so I can maintain the discount.
Jon's not too happy about me getting a part-time job. Feels that we will be fine without me getting one because he can just work mad overtime with disney.... but I want to contribute too... maybe me working part-time will motivate him to work more because I won't be home.
We have a wedding (Oct. 24, 09) we are saving up for and with the decision of either buying a home also next year or renting for another year (July 09)... we are going to have to have money either way... and right now.. we've got nothing. I want financial security.. is that so much to ask for?
