Long Time, No See

Ugh. Long dayyy.

It started with riding; me and Lindsay and Courtney all went up to the barn and rode in a lesson. (Courtney isn't THAT bad, I suppose.) But then a few things happened. So here are the facts:

1. It was like 90 degrees outside and it was HUMID.
2. Courtney did not bring a water bottle.
3. All the fences were gates, so they were like two foot. Less, if anything.
4. At the other barn, we rarely did verticals. Which is what gates are, in essence.

So. After we had trotted, and cantered one direction, Courtney said she felt lightheaded. Jan told her to go get her water--she said she didn't have any. (Jan was like "uhh, what?") So she just got off, borrowed one of Lindsay's water bottles, and didn't get back on again. Me and Lindsay finished the lesson without her. And she didn't come back out of the barn to watch us.

So then, after we got off, we went back to the barn. (And can I just say for the record: on the horses, we felt fine. Hot, maybe, but absolutely fine.) Both of us started getting shaky and weak. She had a headache, I thought I was going to throw up. And we were both really, really sweaty and hot and sticky and we couldn't get cool.

So we untacked our horses, brought them into the shower stalls, and gave both the horses AND ourselves a nice, cold shower. We felt much, much better after drinking a lot of water. (And I mean A LOT. I finished both the water bottle I brought, and the water bottle I bought from the machine.) Then I sat outside with Izzy while she grazed and dried off. I just sat on the ground and let her walk around me with the lead rope like it was a leash. Worked out fine.

Then we went home. I went in the pool for like an hour, then had my driving lesson. (And I kinda JUST got out of the shower when he arrived, so I had to run around, tie up my wet hair, pull on some shorts and a t-shirt, and jump in the car haha) It went really, really well. I'm really getting the hang of driving. I backed around a corner correctly 3 times out of 4! And I felt really confident no matter where we drove.

Except when we were parking. I don't like perpendicular parking.

Can't wait for parallel. >__>

Now I'm just waiting for 7:00 to come so I can watch Avatar. Tonight they're showing The Boiling Rock (which I've seen already online, of course; every Avatar fan has, but I want to see it again. it was good.)

I'll copy some more of my fanfiction here, then I have replies to make. And I may write some fanfiction. x33
