Tomorrow I begin my new job as Volunteer Coordinator. I am excited and a bit nervous. Today I went to a Volunteer Appreciation luncheon, and while it felt overwhelming because the room was huge and the acoustics were awful and I really didn't know that many people I also had a wonderful feeling in my heart that I am finally where I need to be for the moment. Maybe it's not full time and I can't get my own place right away, and I have to continue paying for my own health insurance but it's just right. The Executive Director has known me for quite a while, he came up and gave me a hug and told my mother who was standing next to me, "This girl's going places!" That felt so great to hear that finally after the long road of searching and disappointment that someone believes in me. I must say all of the volunteering has paid off even though it took a while. God is so good, even though I am still working on that being patient and waiting for his plan thing.
