ok, so, obviously, posting on lj is not so much my thing anymore (was it ever? really?).
at any rate, i'm still alive... the last few months have been insanely hectic, but i'm alive.
i have a really nifty scar on my left knee due to a nasty fall i took about three weeks ago and the 8 external stitches (plus about 12 internal ones) that were required to fix it.
i got to meet chris shiflett (the foo fighters guitarist) on sunday. he rocks. it was insanely awesome. i was just standing there, and we were chatting with chris shiflett. you may also know him from me first and the gimme gimmes, who are great.
still working at campus progress. i met senators lindsey graham and jim demint on thursday (no joke!) and got individual pictures with each. for comedic value, once i receive them, they will be scanned and displayed proudly. i decided that i need a picture with ted kennedy just to balance it out (and because... well, he's ted kennedy).
i'll be in columbia november 4-6 (woot woot!) checking out my new apartment and visiting. those of you in columbia should say hello.
i got published on alternet (or will be soon) for doing an interview with john edwards. i got to interview janeane garofalo today. it's sad to know that this internship is likely cooler than any job i'll ever have, unless another job somehow involves chris shiflett and tom daschle (another one i got to meet). who knows - maybe i'll shoot for a job that involves ted kennedy and adam duritz, since that would totally be the best job ever.
