i look forward to this all year

it's (okay, a little past) resolution time!

~programming. although i didn't really accomplish any of my specific goals here, i did get an awesome new job in my chosen field, so i'm calling this a win.
~apartment reorg. i made big strides in this area (got rid of tons of stuff, got a new couch, etc). i really just need to put some art on the walls now.
~cook. i'm ruling this a failure, although i did learn to make some awesome oatmeal.
~write more. eh. fail.
~be less antisocial. ambivalent about this one. i was forced to be sociable with my new coworkers, which took up a lot of my sociable energy.
~finish end of the world and hardboiled wonderland. UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS!
~go to bed/get up earlier. i actually did get a bit better at this.

so ... 4.5/7?

~programming. i'm really trying to pursue my own projects/study in my own time (i've been getting a little bit more done in the past few months). keep going!
~contribute to an open source project. i'm making this a specific goal because it definitely is difficult but ... just one patch. come on.
~some physical activity. i used to think that i was a cerebral person that hated physical activity. then i joined a gym and discovered that i actually like working out. i'd like to find some new activity to pursue, be it dancing, boxing, swimming...
~sleep more. it's important; i realized that i'm actually, quantifiably smarter when i get more sleep. my body just doesn't want to sleep more than 7 hours at a stretch, so i need to make sure i get that almost every night...
~waste less time. every now and then, you need to get home from work and just do nothing. it just shouldn't be all that often. sadly, this is going to mean less time poking aimlessly through the internet.
~music. i want to get more music into my life. that could mean playing the piano or learning the guitar, seeing more shows, listening to more new music...
