Hey guys! I was reading tonight from a book that I got like two years ago at Creation Festival. It's called "Revolution in World Missions" by K.P.Yohannan. I find it a really good book so far. It focuses on a lot of concepts about how the church in America needs to focus more on world missions than materialism. I read a passage tonight that really got me thinking so I'm going to write it on here:
"One morning for example, I picked up a popular Christian magazine containing many interesting articles, stories and reports from all over the world - most written by famous Christian leaders in the West. I noticed that this magazine offered ads for 21 Christian colleges, seminaries, and correspondence courses; five different English translations of the Bible; seven conferences and retreats; five new Christian films; 19 commentaries and devotional books; seven Christian health or diet programs; and five fund-raising services. But that was not all. There were ads for all kinds of products and services: counseling, chaplaincy services, writing courses, church steeples, choir robes, wall crosses, baptistries and water heaters, T-shirts, records, tapes, adoption agencies, tracts, poems, gifts, book clubs and pen pals. It was all rather impressive. Probably none of these things was wrong in itself, but it bothered my that one nation should have such a spiritual luxury while 40,000 people were dying in my homeland every day without hearing the Gospel even once."
There is a whole sponsoring thing behind the book with Gospel for Asia... wish I could do it but money is basically.. blah
SO yea... Im going to Tennessee tomorrow. I'm excited despite the fact that I don't really feel well right now. I talked to John earlier... he makes me feel better. I miss all my brothers :-( But it's ok cuse im seeing one of them in a day and a half or something around then.. all depends it's all good... bonfire saturday night yo.. good stuff.. and im going to go see my dream college that I pray I make it into because that would be amazingly awesome and a blessing from the Lord. *sigh* Call me if you feel like talking.
