Happy Holidays :)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend last week. Dan and I flew out to La Quinta, California for 4 full days of 70+ degree weather, which was a welcome break from the cold weather we've been dealing with here in Wisconsin for the past 3 weeks. My parents and Scott & Jane (Dan's brother and his wife) also went out there. It really was a wonderful time. :)
The biggest announcement I have to make is that I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT! Scott and Jane announced that they are expecting (not sure of the sex yet) next June. I am so excited for them! I went to TJ Maxx & Marshalls today and bought a few things for them since I know they haven't had too much of a chance to buy stuff yet and Jane's parents don't even know she's pregnant yet. They are going to visit her family for Christmas and will tell them then.
As for our Christmas plans, we'll be taking an all-too-short trip down to warm and sunny Florida to spend it with my parents. They are doing quite well, although my mom did burst a blood vessel in her eye today and my dad is sporting a mild cold. Oh well. I guess that's what happens when you get old. ;)
All else around here is fine. The Beaner is definitely a hit, although we've only managed to put 200 miles on it in the past month. Dan is as sweet, handsome, and wonderful as ever and I am doing a little better with the stress of work (although we are both ready to move on out of Wisconsin asap).
