I work for a non-profit and we are going through some tough times financially and are looking for added income. I was thinking of recommending we do a rummage sale, being that our organization is largely run by it's participants we have a huge base of people that would probably be interested in making donations.
I was wondering if anyone here has participated in a charity rummage sale locally and if it was successful- did it raise a decent amount and how did you advertise besides the local newspaper?
Additionally, we don't have a large enough space to hold something like that and was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere that might provide it to us free of charge?
Lastly, it would be especially good to arrange it during some sort of neighborhood festival, does anyone know of one coming up? I hadn't thought of it until after the seward neighborhood garage sales (which were amazing by the way), so too late for that.
Thank you!
