i really hate that i am about to say what i am, because i have an enormous amount of respect for h.i.m.
to cancel shows because you quote "We just want to keep it fresh for you and stump you with new material. I didn't feel that I could do that without rehearsing some of this stuff that's stuck in my heart." well, thats all jolly fucking well, but you cant just cancel an entire fucking tour because you get bored with your music.
i can see canceling because of illness, or emergencies and the like, but this is just complete and utter bullshit. being a musician is somewhat like a job, or better yet, a career. you cant just up and decide 'huh, i really dont feel like doing this, best come up with some lameass fucking excuse.'
i think that what upsets me the most, is that this is a band that i truly care about. its not just some throwaway music that i listen to because im bored and have nothing better to do. h.i.m's music is not something that you can just casualy listen to, you FEEL it, and i guess i assumed that the people who made it would understand that people felt that way.
its just very disheartning when you realize that something is maybe a bit different then you had previously thought.
