Dublin is nothing like what i expected it to be, although i'm not really even sure what i was expecting. At first i was really scared and didn't feel i really connected with anyone. Since my arrival i have been so busy figuring out schedule stuff and other tiny details. I am getting more comfortable here every day and my house is absolutely beautiful. Super high cielings, chandeleirs and crazy paintings all over the walls. (some of those actually scare me a bit) The weather here is so sporatic. It could be super hot and then suddenly bone chilling. Thats how the cold is here, its not super cold tempature wise, but i think because of all the moisture the chill just seeps right through your skin, because i can feel the cold on my bones, its an interesting feeling. The shopping here is out of control, everything is so awesome, and so expensive. Katie is going to be so jealous of my wardrobe when i get back, which is my main goal of studying abroad anyways... SUCCESS! : )
i made my schedule for school and i have MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS off! I had to work a little to set things up that way but it is perfect, i can't wait to travel and now i have four days in a row to do so every week. tonight some of the kids from my program are coming into the city from campus to pregame at my house and go to this super trendy bar not too far from my house. We're going to get really dressed up which is clearly really exciting for me. One of the girls on my program reminds me so much of my friends at home, super goofy and super sarcastic, she feels like home and i love that. i miss my family and friends so much, but i can already tell this is going to be the best experience of my life -- strange.
love & raindrops,
