GALLBLADDER ATTACK SYMPTOMS
Please note that if you are in severe pain and particularly if your attack symptoms are accompanied by fever DO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY. The following symptoms are typical of a gallbladder attack.
- Moderate to severe pain under the right side of the rib cage (CHECK)
- Pain may radiate through to the back or to the right shoulder (CHECK)
- Severe upper abdominal pain (biliary colic) (CHECK)
- Nausea (CHECK)
- Queasiness (CHECK)
- Vomiting (CHECK)
- Gas
- Burping or belching (CHECK)
- Attacks are often at night (CHECK)
- Attacks often occur after overeating
- Pain will often but not always follow a meal with fats or grease (CHECK, damn Wendy's!)
- Pain may be worse with deep inhalation (CHECK)
- Attacks can last from 15 minutes to 15 hours (CHECK)
I am in so much pain! I had what I firmly believe to be a gallbladder attack. John thinks I am being a hypochondriac but my dr. wants me to come in for a.... guess what? GALLBLADDER SCAN!!! Go figure, my doctor is just feeding my hypochondriac-ness... Aparently pregnancy can further irritate an already irritated gallbladder. I've had "attacks" like last night before I was pregnant but NOTHING like last night. I threw up my SOCKS! It was not pretty.
