wedding! i am totally obsessed with my wedding now. i caught myself talking about the rehearsal procession to an 11 year-old yesterday. estevan's little brother could have cared less, but it just won't stop!
i went to a catering tasting this sunday. if anyone wants to stuff themselves with amazing free food, and have no qualms with impersonating an engaged couple, i suggest you contact john-michael's catering in orlando. all i had to do was give them a date via e-mail, and i was immediately invited to one of their monthly tastings. i didn't have to put down a deposit or sign a contract to be invited. the service it completely complimentary. i didn't have to prove i was engaged at all. of course, one doesn't get an engagement license, so how could one really prove that?
john-michael's is a little up there in price, but my mom and i were completely won over. out of the 6 caterer's i could choose from, they were the only ones who offered such a huge variety of foods to try before you buy. there were 7 buffet stations total, with up to four dishes to each station. the stations were organized in catagories- pasta, mini main dish, appetizers, side dishes, cake flavors, drinks, and sample buffet line. each station had completely different food. it was wonderful! i felt like templeton the rat from charolette's web! HOW CAN SOMEONE LIKE ME MAKE A DECISION WITH ALL THESE CRAZY CHOICES??! i still have dreams of the floribbean feast: coconut curry seabass, rice, caramelized bananas, and mango puree (drool) and the butternut squash casserole. estevan and my mom are big beefers (cow eaters), so there will be beef at the wedding.my mom liked the bacon wrapped beef cubes (HEART ATTACK) and the french beef stew glazed in a red wine sauce (the sauce WAS amazing, i have to admit it).
gotta go!
