i hate my wedding

some of you know what my big plan was as far as dresses were concerned. i didn't want to buy just any dress. i wanted to do something different, wear something out-of-the-ordinary, and not out of a magazine. also, it had to be cheap (meaning 2,000 max).  still, it had to have a style that suited me (and not your average grandma). the problem i kept running into was the salon dresses. any time i tried one on i either couldn't move, or i had transformed myself into a 50 year old woman (no offense, mom). wtf. where's the young, hip, cheap stuff????

well not long after i asked myself that question, had the answer appeared to me in the form www.brides.com 's j.crew line. NOTICE i did not say www.jcrew.com 's bridal collection link. NO. so, i called a bridal consultant with j.crew, his name was justin. i asked this justin person if j.crew would have any of the runway dresses available. justin told me they would, and that i should wait until february (spring collection time) to order them. he gave me names- frock and daffny. maribelle, the dress that had first caught my attention, was only available during the fall season of 2006, and would never, ever be available again...ever.

disappointment over maribelle insued, as you can all see from my post about 5 or so months ago when i first inquired about the dress. however, i found renewed interest in daffny, with the hopes that this new dress would be available for me in february, as promised by justin.

well, now it's february. @#$%^&* j.crew. i hardly shop there anyway, and now i know why. they have the ugliest dresses for spring. i called another consultant and this is what she had to say when i asked her about daffny and flock "well, we usually have our clients order a year in advance, and then we put them on a waiting list for the dresses that are in high demand. the most current information we have now is available on our website. those are the dresses that we have available now."  well...crap. thank you justin.  you were a great help.

oh, and here's the icing on the cake. the bridesmade dresses that belong to the j.crew line are only available in an ugly pastel purple now. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????!!!

back to the salons!
