i spent an early part of morning today watching "Bringing up Baby". This film happens to be one of my favorites as movies go. It has the slap-stick comedy, priceless (possibly groundbreaking or the times) dialogue ("I just went gay all of a sudden!!"), and three names everyone should commit to memory: howard hawks, katherine hepburn, and cary grant. This movie is great in my eyes (my eyes being the stuff of old ladies). i won't go into further detail, because you should all see it on your own. Form your own opinion!

Aside from the film itself, my 2 disc collector's set also comes with the documentary, "Cary Grant: A Class Apart" and "The Men Who Made Movies: Howard Hawks". I just discovered these gems today! I watched all of both. I love all of both. I am currently obsessed with finding the music tracks used in the former one. One of the orchestrations sounds vaguely like "the west wing" from disney's beauty and the beast. I know that what I heard from the documentary is most likely far older than disney's beauty and the beast. if any of you know what I'm talking about, great. Tell me who composed it. I need to know.
