Donna is no longer in the land of the living. I had an odd dream yesterday morning wherein she asked me if anyone had told me yet that she'd died. I said no, as I'd not heard at that time... In the dream she showed me a bit of where she was (nice place, like other times I've been there), told me that she was with Courtney and her mom again. I THINK, but I'm not positive, that I might have gotten to see Courtney again for a few minutes... has been such a long time since she died... Donna asked me to relay a message to her remaining daughter...
I thought it was an odd deam, but didn't have time to write it down on waking. Day kicked into high gear right on waking, as I was up late (so I thought) for a meditation I was scheduled to lead. Thanks to time change I was actually right on time though.
Day progressed quickly...
Picked up kids, they weren't ready when I got over there, so I was later than what I intended, came close to missing sending out the notices of the other one I was scheduled for... On the ride home, Athena tells me that she'd heard Donna died, when the funeral was, and asking if we could go.
Was a shock to me, but I was driving and had things to make happen, so I held on... Had a mental crash after getting the rest of the day out of the way... Was cheered up a bit later by listening to some good music, but when I'd lead the second meditation I was VERY glad that I had a script to share because I felt like wood...
Anyway, the kids and I went to Donna's funeral today. It was a very nice graveside service... And Donna was laid to rest by her daughter and mother like she'd wanted. I relayed the message...
I'm going to miss Donna... But I did get an opportunity to cry without anyone seeing me (and I'm more prepared now... I think...). And I know that she's not totally gone. She doesn't hurt anymore. She's with her mom and her daughter... And she told me herself, so she kept her promise of dropping in.
