Well now that I'm awake (early for me even) I can take the time to journal. I need to get back in the habit of it.
Last night I was awake off and on because my nerve pain was screwing with me badly. Over the course of the night we heard two gunshots close. I thought they were across the creek, maybe the neighbor on the other side of the cow field was running off coons.
Nope. Downstream neighbor having to run off a bear. Twice. An aggressive one that even went for their door a couple times and the neighbor thought he was going to get in. Uhhhh. This winter is going to be... interesting. I think this is the same one that threw a fit on one of their apple trees, the fence between our yards, AND the fence between the road and my front apple trees.
I have dubbed this one Big Sh!t.
He carried off some of our stuff, so several bags had to be retrieved from the property that's two plots downstream. It was no fun getting through the barbed wire to clean up. I had to recruite help that could get down to the hole in the fence and through. I'd tried previously and got both stuck and a small cut on my back. I'm pretty sure I'm up on my tetanus shot. I'm glad no one was there to see me get stuck though. Reminds me too much of the time I got stuck in the dryer trying to pick up clothes and the time I got stuck in the fireplace trying to get it set for a fire. Both of those occurred when my back was really bad. Stupid spasms. I don't have any of the meds for muscle spasms anymore either.
I am ridiculously tired. That probably didn't help since I have less control when I'm tired. The sun at least helped my bones and muscles to not ache as much. I also technically got my walk in today.
I need to try to stay awake. My hope is that if I can that I'll sleep deeper tonight. I'd better not try to read any of the books on my to review list yet though so I don't fall asleep. Maybe I can get my braincells running forward enough to do some outlining for the next bit of Selkies', which is a bit harder as David's supposed to have a chat with his head of house and figure out something to do about what the Spiralis snake has done to Kirsty.
