Wish me luck
Last week I applied for an Outreach worker job, and yesterday I got the call-back to say I'd made the shortlist and to come in on Friday for an informal assessment and on Tuesday for the official interview.
I'm excited because I'd love to this job, and it would solve a great deal of predicaments for me, but at the same time I'm nervous because I've never worked as an Outreach worker before and I only applied due to a fluke and heavy encouragement.
Currently re-reading the personal statement on my application form in order to refresh my memory of what I've stated I've done and can do and then shall have to scout the internet to refresh my memory of pertinent legislation I'm meant to have a working knowledge of (such as the Child Protection Act).
I really really really want this job. It would make a huge difference to me, and I am reciting positive affirmations to myself in order to quell my terror and sense of inadequacy, but in the meantime, I would really appreciate any spare positive energies/good vibes flung into my direction. :)
