clovember 10-23 -"Winter Is Coming"

Nov 23, 2013 23:58

This latest installment of Clovember is brought to you by the fact that for once everyone has gone to bed and fallen asleep without

a) arguing with me
b) petitioning for water/cuddles/philosophical debate/one more cartoon
c) my day and subsequent functioning was much improved by a long afternoon nap

Now for

My long-suffering beloved winter skirt, that manages to be both light and warm. Still holding on despite the Great Moth Apocalypse of 2013. The belt was my first ever present from Z.

Dress is Phase Eight via ebay (I have managed to score a number of them for under £10), and awesome fabric belt from some random shop many years ago.

Multiple layered summer t-shirts + yellow cord trousers = pretending it is not in fact November.

Work Clos, followed by bonus shot of Matei and I on our monthly date-night. I finished work early enough to pick him up from school and we went for dinner and a movie (I endured Turbo by sleeping through about a 1/3 of it). I am pleased to say that Matei is an excellent date, but I look forward to the time when he starts paying for dinner.

The picture does not do justice to the awesomeness of this Per Una skirt which looks immaculate despite being 11 years old. Its bottom half contains black tulle and flounces- as though a demure garment ran into a flamenco dancer's outfit.

This dress is from some random internet catalogue thing (isme? freemans? something that no longer exists?) and remains one of the most flattering and comfortable things I have ever purchased.

Shades of blue

There is a little shop on Flask walk (tiny street off Rosslyn HIll in Hampstead) that sells awesome things for relatively few £. I bought this necklace for £12 and saw the same one in John Lewis for £60. Curvy jeans from GAP, jumper from H&M.

Teal tights and shoes, grey everything else and bonus cat cameo.

Miss Selfridge t-shirt, Gap cardy, wideleg Wallis jeans.

I am wearing awesome fleece tights, which are doing a wonderful job of keeping blood flow in my extremeties.

I am totally pro long cardigans.

It was very gratifying to find my love of pencil dresses and stripes united in one garment.

Bead necklaces for <£5 are the latest thing I am grateful to ebay for.
