I am ill, and constructively using up my vacation time to stay in bed under as many covers as possible and watch people on telly try to sell me things in German (absolutely mesmerising - but on as good as the channel I could get in Liverpool where it was teleshopping by day and turned into a crazed disco with oiled Germans in loincloths dancing in cages after 10pm).
