Today is St. Nina's Day, which therefore is my nameday.
If I was going to do things properly, then I'd fast and go to church to light candles to my name saint and thank her for looking out for me and beseech her continued blessings, but instead being a lazy heathen i've decided to simplify the tradition by simply having cake.
Furthermore, I also decree that if you want to celebrate me today, then you also ought to have cake.

On another note, today's comedy moment came courtesy of an old woman I smiled at when we passed each other on the street. She responded with:
"What are you leering at me for, you young whore?"
I jotted it down in my notes for amusing things to do in my old age.
