Happy Halloween! :D
Back to London, only to find that various electrical devices seem to have ceased to operate in my absence including the phone and the lights in the bathroom so I shall have to resort to bathing by candleglow again.
Had a most pleasant day even though the train journey was rockin' only in the most literal sense, and on the tube back home had the delights of using my rejuvenated French to tell off drunken French adolescents in thier own language (Allo, On se calme un peux et cesse avec les conneries? ) which seem to do the trick by confusing them sufficiently to have them shut up.
Still, perhaps the noble spirit of the Tube Walker doth reside in thier pimply chests as they seemed to extract an unusual delight from shreiking the names of various Underground stations to each other (Neeeeeesden! Groan Pork! )
I'm sorry to have missed the Catch up tube walk too, but I kind of compensated this weekend by walking around between various stations of the Parisian Underground (and a very pleasant experience it was too) inspiring me to think that if modalverben and associates ever decide to take the Tube Walks International then France might be a fine place to start.
