Because I know that the people you love the most may be snatched away from you entirely without warning.
That the world can shatter irrevocably, in the space of heartbeats between one moment and the next.
It's like the moment someone leaves on a level they die for me. They are relegated to a limbo in which they sort of stop existing and my mind blanks and a part of me goes into stasis.
But then we speak again, and my heart just dances.
