Together, they like each other That Way!

You're having way too much fun, I can tell.

But the snow! And the UST! And the nonsequitur yakuza! And the spaaaaaaarkles OMGGGGG win at life much? I think I have a few episodes of this on my harddrive, somewhere, radiating angst or something. *starts searchin'*

This drama was made for you. Seriously. Death, weeping, hallucinating in the grips of mental anguish. It will crush your heart and scatter the pieces in a black hole of angst and trauma. You'll love it.

I have to admit, I rather like that 'oh, you'd like it' is pretty much understood to mean 'if you watch this you will never be happy again'. I suppose I should find that troubling.

Nothing wrong with knowing what you like, I say. XD

OKAY SO I JUST FINISHED WATCHING THE FIRST EPISODE. Christ, you weren't kidding about it being made for me. I was crying a minute and a half in. Japan was clearly wasting time developing convincing characters and making my heart break for them. Korea has the right idea -- lift angsty plot elements directly from my life; it saves time! (YOU DID NOT WARN FOR FATHER ANGST. The first snow of each winter always makes me miss my dad so bad.) I cried so hard I made Hana look like an emotionless robot by comparison.

AND I STILL HAVE NINE EPISODES TO GO. brb picking up the shards of what used to be my heart. ;.;

OH BB. I didn't know. I'm not sure if this will be comforting or disappointing, but I think they get most of their parental angst out in the first few episodes. From there on the only family relation that concerns them is, you know, their own.

THE ANGST GETS WORSE. :D

It's all good. Although I think maybe I should try to finish it really fast, y'know, while the weather's still nice here. *glances out the window* If it snows, nice and hard, while I'm still watching it, I will probably retreat under the covers for a couple weeks. Note to self: stock up on chocolate ice cream... I have to ask -- how is it that I love the show already when MY HEART IS TOTALLY BROKEN? It doesn't make any sense. It's the angstiest sort of paradox, I think.

I CAN'T WAIT. Seriously, I'm trying to tell myself I do not need another episode before going to get breakfast. FOOD NOW, ANGST LATER.

Trainwreck syndrome? You can't look away. You know it'll hurt and haunt you but you must see. Plus you know shirtlessness is coming.

Hey, it's straight outta Dostoevsky -- people have an inherent desire to experience suffering, and will go out of their way to induce it in themselves. (That is literally the only thing I learned in Social Theory. Seriously, I can't even remember the prof's name.)

I've never heard that, but it sure explains why I continue to watch kdramas.

Read Notes from Underground. Japan, as a whole, will start making a lot more sense. (Look, it's online! Come on, you know you want to read it~... Wait, when did I start pimping existentialist literature.)
