IRIS is on my list!

. . . my huge, huge, never ending LIST OF DOOM. As much as I appreciate the short run dramas have, it makes it impossible to keep up with all the things I want to watch--there's always something new! shiny! exciting! around the corner.

STORY OF MY LIFE. I've been in a crazy jdrama phase lately, I keep coming across stuff with only 8 or 9 eps and it's so EASY to knock them out without even trying. And of course once I finish one there's always another...

I've been on a kdrama kick recently, and I've been so thoroughly spoiled by jdramas that 20 episodes is HUGE.

Also not a help: I have the attention span of a fly.

But just think, upon a time 16 eps was probably a challenge too! One day you'll be busting through 80-ep sageuks and laughing at the wimps who can't hack 20.

That'll be the day when I'm no longer one of those wimps who can't handle a Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies ending.

Based on the 100% happy dramas you rec here, I would have NEVER GUESSED that you like seeing pretty people suffer.

I'm shocked beyond words!

what have you been watching? I am eyeing that maki drama (tokujo kabachi was it?) warily, i want to watch it cause her character seems awesome but as said before not the biggest sho fan and the synopsis makes it sounds so boring. i do have being human eps and pasta eps to be watching (still havent started pasta) but i realized that i dont really have any jdramas on my list anymore. where did they all i go wonder XD i forgot what's good. i need tips! but more for what's fairly recent (2009 or later), i dont know if i'm ready to go back and dig into the vast never-ending abyss that is jdramas of the past 10 years just yet lol. (since i'm still keeping up with my western tv but the bbc dramas i wanna watch havent started yet and the US ones are on hiatus .__. most of em anyway)

Let's see... I managed to knock out Untouchable, Orthros no Inu, Ushi ni Negai wo (though that was a rewatch, I just needed caps to pimp it properly) and I'm finishing up Giragira now. SASAKI KURANOSUKE THE MIDDLE-AGED HOST OH YEEEEEEAH.

I'm not really watching anything from this season except for Magerarenai Onna and Massugu na Otoko. The latter I really really loved from the first episode (Sato Ryuta! Fukuda Kyoko!) but there haven't been any more subs and the wait is KILLING me.

Have you seen BOSS yet?

Oooh I'll be looking forward to that Ushi Negai pimp! Man I tried to watch Giragira but it was just too ridiculous even for me, I mean rolled my eyes alot during Ninkyo Helper but I rolled my eyes more in the first ep of Giragira than I did all of Ninkyo...well most of ninkyo. Plus, the hosts? FUGLY as hell. Which is probably not that unrealistic considering what real japanese hosts look like but still, ugh ( ... )

Awww, I don't think Giragira is any more ridiculous than most host dramas. (Which are admittedly very ridiculous, but I don't think Giragira is the worst, so. XD) I admit I may be blinded by my love for Sasaki Kuranosuke and Sato Tomohito as hotass hosts and Maya Miki as the elegant club owner.

I might watch BOSS though, I havent yet but it does have alot of elements I like.

I'd be interested to see if you like it! It was definitely one of my top jdramas last year.

The show seems so much creepier and intense now than it did before.

I think I said this on the other thread but it reminds me SO MUCH of Torchwood: CoE, not only in terms of creepy supernatural shit but the doomed feeling that ANYTHING can happen. I mean, I spent the last ep seriously worried George would eat a child. THAT'S FUCKING CRAZY.

I know what you mean about Annie btw, there's nothing I dislike about her and truly the OT3 is the heart of the show, but I just find Mitchell and George so much more compelling. Maybe because they both have an overarching struggle ( ... )
