Exactly and it's not like Japan is lacking in gay shit. So what gives?! Dramas with Johnny's always seem to be more prudish though....well not the senpai XD man nagase has done so many off color and risque dramas when I look back on it now XD
Too bad he's an alcoholic. no really the sad part is that's not really an exaggeration :( but that's not why I went bleh though, I just have no interest him XD though I still have a very descriptive report of all the times he got drunk or mentioned alcohol in his jweb or others mentioned him drinking.....i have the weirdest friends srsly -_-
Well, it helps that the heterosexual pastry makers are played by the likes of Takki, Fujiki Naohito and Abe Hiroshi. That goes a long way to making up for the lack of gay (though of course it would be much better if they were both hot and gay).
(But I only watched a couple of episodes, so I guess I'm the wrong person to explain the appeal of the jdrama version.)
I actually tried it ages ago but didn't make it past the first episode. I hadn't known it was supposed to be BL. It's such an easy way to improve drama, I don't know why Japan isn't hopping all over it. XD
