Idle Time...

existence is so simple...i'd rather keep it that way...people always make life complicated for themselves...i'd perfer to avoid that myself...however i'm rather fond of money...note to self...get life together...

the richest man in the world esta de ciudad de méxico...it's almost like bill gates lost his job to a mexican...in spirit anyway...

two reviews of ...

-interpol our love to admire two things caught me off guard when i first heard about this album, the cover art lacks the minimalistic red white and black motiff they used on their first two albums, and they're no longer on matador records...outside of that, there aren't many other surprises...much like antics most of the tracks are a subtle, stylish mix of morose romanticism and catchy bass lines...which i dig...but none of the songs really stand out above the others...i was kinda disappointed by this, since i kinda expect that from them by now...then again, i've only listened to it once...
-the third man pulp western writer travels to vienna to visit an old friend of his...only to find that he's apparently died...except the stories about his death are somewhat inconsistent...as such, he decides to stick around and figure out for himself what happened...movie's mad stylish, orson wells has a great line about halfway through the movie:
...in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock...
to this i say hell yea! switzerland sucks...

women in pamplona are demanding their own version of the running of the bulls...cept with cows...its like gertrude stein's version of the sun also rises...

this is silly...

had the day off on wednesday, for some reason felt like going to the museum of modern art...which as it turns out is closed on wednesdays...bored and disappoited i wandered about the financial district for a bit...which as luck would have it was the same time the nine-eleven "truth movement" was also wandering around the area, capering around with their poorly conceived brochures and fantastical stories about government planted explosives and zombie zionist xenophobes running bank of america or whatever...my take on the whole issue...the government does evil things all the time right in front of our eyes...the truth is always more compelling than some quixotic search for a truth that you'll never find...
