this. is. perfect.

seriously, in every way, i wish i could write something this good. i've always enjoyed fic that gives insight into jim's past or pam's past or SOMEONE'S past, and the fact that there was the theme of "firsts" behind it -- ugh, SO GOOD. ♥

I love everything about this. I love fics that give us glimpses of Jim's past with women and you've done that so well here.

And I loved your characterization of Karen. I don't know that I've seen her explained in quite this way, but I think this is the Karen that actually exists, insecure even though to everyone else she seems so confident and strong.

And them having sex on the roof of her building? lakfjadsfad. I just love the image of them and the city around them and the stars and everything. So lovely.

This made my night. Absolutely fantastic job with young Jim to current Jim, and it was just so much fun to read a series of firsts with a character we don't really know much about outside of the office. It's kind of weird that he's one of the main characters on the show, yet we don't know what his family life is like, what college was like, or even what DM was like before season one - anyway, great story.
