Wednesday was my last day at work. It's weird knowing I won't be going back there. I do plan to stay in touch with a couple of the friends I made there, and still hang out sometimes, I just hope it actually happens. I put in my two weeks notice last Monday, so today would have been my last day, but I had a couple days of vacation left, and decided to use them to give myself a four day weekend between jobs. My first day there was January 30 last year, and if I'd stayed just a little longer, till my first anniversary, I would have racked up another year's worth of PTO, to get paid out when I leave. But my new boss wanted me to start as soon as possible, because she's going out of town the week after that, and wanted me there for a week before she left. It won't take long for the increased pay to make up for the lost vacation time, though. And I'll have more vacation time than I did at my old job, once the first 90 days are up. The new job will start on Monday.
Tonight I'm seeing the Mars Volta in concert! I hear their live show is pretty crazy, and I'm excited to see it.
I've had a cold recently, and I was getting over it, but it seems to be coming back. It's not that bad, but I've started coughing again, which is really annoying. Hopefully it'll be better before Monday.
