Work, work, work.

It's only the 8th day of January and my second day back to work after a two week holiday break and I'm already gotten three donations of comics so far.  Granted they're not huge, but still.  Donations add up quickly.

My favorite Alaskan donor as promised to send me a few more tons of comics this year after taking a break for the past two years.  That has been fine by me because it has allowed me to sorta play catch up with some of the smaller donations floating around here.  Every single donation that did not come from Alaska has either been processed or has been started.  Right now I'm working on a donation of approximately two tons from a donor in Northern Virginia who bought out a comic book shop a few years back and sat on the inventory.  He donated it to us a couple years ago.  I sat on it because it's an appraised collection and I can't get rid of any of it for three years.  Now is the time.

All I have to say is if you're in Central Virginia in late October and really like comics, you need to hit up our annual book sale.  Last year we had a touch over 20,000 comics going for 20 for $1.  There were some specially priced items like complete sets of Watchmen and V for Vendetta single issues or the first five Batman: The Legend of the Dark Knight with variant covers - all first printings and in fine to very fine condition.  Those went very fast!  We sold all but about a long box worth of comics.

And now for what I really wanted to post about:

I got new Marvel and DC superhero coffee mugs, a zombie duck, and a Tardis from the bestie for Christmas and they look smashing in my office!
