Christmas baking
You know I was serious about baking this morning when I busted out the Kitchaid stand mixer. The little handheld mixer just wasn't going to cut it with everything I have to do today.
So far today I've made:
dough for cheese cookies (just needs to be sliced and baked)
chocolate chip cookies
dark chocolate brownie cookies
peanut butter chocolate chip oatmeal bars
Up next (after the dishwasher finishes) is a buttermilk pound cake with caramel frosting. That was at my brother's request. I guess I'll make a pecan pie at New Year's, because, let's face it, I will be cooking another large meal.
Things still to do:
bake sweet potatoes for my casserole tomorrow
wrap presents
neaten up the house
So when does my actual vacation start?
