I love fall!
It's beautiful outside, crystal blue clear skies, slight nip in the air. My windows are open to air out the house.
I'm actually cooking again, like real cooking. Not this omg can I nuke this, skillet or toast oven cooking.
My house smells amazing right now. I've got a pot roast in the crock pot that has been cooking all night (super easy, set it and forget it!) and on the stove top I have fresh snaps (green beans for you non-southerners) and tiny new potatoes simmering away with a bit of ham hock. Mmmmm. I'll roast some corn on the cob and make some buttermilk biscuits to complete the meal. Nummy.
I might even break bad in a bit, because I'm feeling so domestic, and make an apple spice cake.
