I thought Sunday was supposed to be a day of rest....

*falls in exhausted heap*

Yes, I realize it's Sunday morning, and I shouldn't be tired already, but I am. After the hellish week at work, I don't get any rest this weekend because of family day today. I'm doing the big grill out today for two reasons - it's easier and summer won't efffin' DIE. Bacon cheddar burgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, grilled potatoes and onions, and the like. I made a brown sugar pound cake for dessert.  The glaze is amazing.  I haven't tried the cake yet, but seriously, anything that starts with a cup of shortening can't be all that bad right?

Of course during all this crazy busy time there has been no time to write or send mail.  I'm woefully behind.  I need to take a holiday, badly.  At least a long weekend since taking a week or thereabouts is out of the question.  Although I don't know why, my co-workers have no trouble doing it even though we're a person short and it causes me to be chained to the front desk all day and I won't get a proper lunch hour all week.  I just can't bring myself to put my co-workers out like that.  *le sigh*  I really should buck up and put them out occasionally.

My brother wants to use my laptop (because Little Draco is still all shiny and pretty and way better than anything he has) so I had to clean up the six million files I had on my desktop - all my stories and various icons and the like.  He wouldn't understand.  J already makes fun of my love of HP and Robin Hood and Buffy.  The last thing he needs to find out is that I write fan fiction.  That would seal my fate of going directly to hell without passing go or collection $200.

Oh yeah, Happy Belated 20th Birthday Tom Felton!  Thank god you're legal now!
