Damnit, Junior won last night. S'okay though. He's far better than the rainbow whiner, err Jeff Gordon, or the cheat Jimmy Johnson or arsehole Kevin Harvick. Denny Hamlin (so adorable) finished a career best second. Tony was top ten and that is all he needs to do remain in the hunt. Night racing at Richmond is the BEST!!!!
Sadly, I gave my tickets to my brother for his birthday. There is always the fall race! *sniffles*
Again, no time this weekend to do anything. Steve and Warren so Warren could clean my house (no, I don't clean my own house - $50 every two weeks is money well spent in my opinion) and Steve to help me prep for my other brother & SIL's birthday celebrations today. That involved a 90 mile round trip up to Short Pump to go to Tom Leonards for $47 worth of produce, chicken salad, egg salad and fancy bread stuffs. Then we kipped into a very nice Krogers (not one anywhere remotely near me - I'm stuck with crappy FoodLion unless I go over to the next town). That visit prompted the purchase of a cooler to bring home 5 for $10 ice cream.
Then we came home, put away groceries and did as much prep work as possible for today. I've got to bake a cake this morning - buttermilk devil's food cake with buttercream icing to go along with filet steak soaked in Jack Daniel marinade, marinaded chicken, twice-baked potatoes, roasted corn, pineapple bake, baked beans, salad, and popover rolls.
Then after I get rid of my family, nokomis305 and I have more plotting to do concerning the rules for my contest that I will be running starting next week. *squee* I'm so excited about this!
