LOL, yeah, sounds about right. She's a handful of energy, but so adoreable. She pulls most of this off when I'm still in the room, just at that one moment when I look away, or blink. She's a magic ninja baby.
Thanks! He's home again and doing well, though I think he shouldcould cut back on the soda more.
She's already pretty kick ass, I almost fear what she'll become in a few years. XD
Well, part of the stomach pains was from dehydration and other things as well, that were caused from too much soda. The caffeine dehydrates you, and the sugar and stuff messes with cholesterol and all kinds of stuff. At least that's more or less what the doctors said. It's kinda scary when you realize what over-indulgence in the stuff can do to a person. Which is why Ariana gets no soda, ever, except the very rare Sprite, ginger ale, or root beer. And that's only on special occasions as a treat.
And 100% juice and water. Lots and lots of water. I've actually been eating and drinking healthier since having her. 1/3 out of wanting to set a good example, 2/3 out of it being the most readily available (because of getting it for her), and 3/3 because she loves to steal from my plate. Everything tastes better if it's from Mama or Daddy's plate, even if she has the same thing on hers.
I suppose she could settle for Ruler of the Milky Way if things don't go quite her way.
Everything tastes better if it's from Mama or Daddy's plate, even if she has the same thing on hers. <---scientifically prove true, I swear. xDDD
I was kind of like that as a kid. My grandpa used to make these rice balls and I'd utterly demolish them as a kid because he made them and therefore they tasted magically better even though it was the exact same rice in my bowl. Just in ball format. xD
They looks so cute and round. :) If you have a rice cooker, the hardened rice at the bottom of the cooker is easier to form into a ball but depending on the age of your daughter, you might want to stick to the softer rice and in smaller sizes that what my grandpa used to make for me.
No rice cooker that I know of but the rest is still valid, and I'll remember it, thanks. She'll be exactly a year-a-half on the 18th. (She seems younger and older at the same time.)
Cherish it while you can. Because when she's a rebellious teenager with a mind of her own, you'll miss the days when she couldn't talk back or stay out until 3am. At least that's what my mum used to say, haha. :)
She already tries to talk back! XD She doesn't keep it up for long and doesn't often use words, but the resistance is already starting. It usually goes something like this:
Me: Ariana, give me that. Ariana: *shakes head* Me: (sternly) Ariana, that is not yours. *starts walking towards her* Ariana: *throws it down and runs*
Just wait until she actually hits the Terrible Twos as well. :/ What a handful!
I love children, but they also scare me. I think it must be so tough, raising a child. They're so fragile when they're first born and you never know what they want or need. What if you're not feeding them enough? Too much? What if they choke on a piece of food? What if, what if? :/ I'm so paranoid.
I've always been kinda scared of children, but since having Ariana I've calmed down a lot. It's kinda surprising how easy it is to fall into. At first it's feed, diaper, sleep, maybe a bath every other day. As you get better at that is when more starts coming in. Choking occasionally worries me still, but that's why they offer classes and stuff. Paranoia is a good thing I've found, because with babies 9 out of 10 times are justified.
I'm not sure how to explain it. Children scare me but I'm not scared of them. I'm not sure if there's an actual difference, but I feel there is. Yay for lack of articulation. :P
I took Standard First Aid last year, which thankfully includes first aid for babies and children. But I just hope I never actually have to use it.
Hope your step-uncle is alright.

Do you think it was the acidity in the soda that caused the stomach pains? :(

It's true facts. XD
I'm going to have to try that rice ball idea next time Lucas (Ariana's father) cooks it. She's not yet got forks and spoons down, it may help her.

Odds are good that you won't but it's better to have it and not need it, as they say.
