Looking back
Wow. I just realized what yesterday was.... it was almost 2 years to the day since I was out on the same field doing the same job at the end of camp. And ironically enough everything has changed and nothing has changed. Its all the same because my heart still goes home to Columbia every chance I get, and nothing is the same because now I am living a dream instead of simpling wishing on a star.
It made me realize a few things. 1 is that I am definately one of the luckiest officers in the army because of how close I came to not being able to finish OBC. 2 is that the army is one of the smallest places you can possibly imagine working. I mean in my short time on active duty I have already started meeting people and building connections that will last a lifetime, but more importantly trying to keep old ones alive. I am not sure what the future might hold and where it will bring me, but if my path thus far has been any indication, then I think that I really do have more control over my future than about anyone else ever will.
