OKAY, SO, EPILEPTIC TREE FOR POKÉMON B/W! I think I figured out why the letter N.
There might be a chess theme in Team Plasma. Not 100% accurate, but a good part of it. I assumed that the Harmonias just played too much Dungeons & Dragons or Zelda: A Link to the Past, LOL sages, but what if it's half of it? I think it could be valid, because what's the color of chess pieces? Yup, black and white! In algebraic chess notation, the letter N is the knight. This could be a hint of how the hierarchy of Team Plasma truly is in the shadows: the king is not a king but a knight, and the guy dressing like a rook isn't a rook at all, but both the king and the chessmaster.
And there's a movement involving king and rook called castling. They have a castle. Thar.
