Wow that's a lot. I used to collect a lot more manga but I ended up dropping a lot of series just because most manga is so long. I am still collecting Fruits Basket, FMA, Hikaru no Go, One Pound Gospel, & Yotsuba (and I have a few finished series).
I might start collecting Mushishi. Do you know when the manga starts new stories not in the anime?
I really have no idea about Mushishi. So far, in the volumes I own, they're stories that were adapted to anime IIRC.
Lately I'm only trying to buy the new volumes on the priority list. I guess I'll get stuff from the other ones if it's a slow month with extra bucks.
I'm rethinking about starting the new edition of Rurouni Kenshin when I'm done with Fruits Basket, though. The price is still high but they lowered it a bit, and I could never own it since it was already done when I got to Spain and... 28 volumes.
Rurouni Kenshin is one of the titles that I have the whole series for. It was sort of a weird one where it was released monthly (usually manga is released every 2 or 3 months here) so I ended up collecting it rather quickly.
My collection is sort of medium-sized, and I still had problems doing it. Also, I was lucky there's a list of ongoing manga series and releases in Spain on a website, or I'd have no idea of my own backlog.
And I'm not counting finished series or one-shots. Damn. Not that they're much, though, it's mostly CLAMP stuff and one-shots. I rarely finish series, too.
