I LOVE YOU THIS IS A SUMMARY OF THE ENTIRE BOOK. ♥♥♥♥♥
I was very enamored by the Clow/Yuuko interactions, and I'd bet the only reason she's so pissed at him at the start of Holic is because he decided to off himself, and turn into Fujitaka and Eriol. And because that's the sort of relationship they have.
I was going to bring arguments about how it's chronologically possible for Clow to be alive on a White Day, but then I discovered that in the 60's it was called Marshmallow Day and wasn't as generic. Yeah, I thought White Day was from the 80's, and how long did Kero say he'd been sleeping? 30 years?
What gets me is that Clow must live within walking distance of Yuuko, so Watanuki lives (or dreams, I guess) within walking distance of Tomoeda? But then Yuuko's been that close to Kero and Fujitaka and Yuki and everyone throughout all of Holic? No. Right? What?
With Holic, I feel almost certain that Watanuki'll turn out just fine. Yuuko not so much, but Watanuki, definitely.
More like they're getting anyone drunk XP Except Yue, who's special.
Being angry at him for dying was the usual theory back in the days, but I think Yuuko is wise enough to understand and respect Clow's decision, or so I concluded with her serenity in the book's serious scenes. If she decided to be petty about it, it must've been years after he moved on, and because she was feeling lonely without her friend around or frustration for dealing so much with the fucking descendants while he's... reincarnated and shit. Or that's how I feel

Because children who watch anime are too stupid to consider cute Kero-chan, who flails over pudding and plays videogames, older than them at least without being told? No clue. Madhouse had stranger add/removal choices after all.
I think I'm more or less on the same page with you. And they obviously have a snarky relationship, so I can't really imagine her saying to Watanuki, "Clow made this, he was just swell! ♥"
Oh, I haven't read the manga in ages, and bought a CCS PS game while I was in Japan, and when Kero said "30 years" there, it sounded right to me. But that must've been because of the anime. So if that's not manga-canon, maybe Clow did go missing in the '80s? Soel and Larg obviously take place pretty close to now.
..Or Clow and Yuuko have insane athletic abilities and can walk a lot without getting tired. Or they use magic for that. That's what I was thinking, but then the Mokonas manage to get there when they're out with the umbrella. It's just weird to think she'd be that close to Eriol without speaking to him, though I guess she might've for all we know.
Yeah, it was definitely snarky, although it's just that Yuuko isn't the cutesy type to go all "awww" over friends or love interests, unless she's in teasing mode. She might be like that with her creations, but with the humans she cares about she behaves in particular patterns. She also teases and snarks at Watanuki -and in lesser extent, to the Tsubasa gang in early arcs-, although in a mother hen sort of way. The great thing about Clow is that he's totally cool about it, and laughs with her (and at her).
/tl;dr thoughts on Yuuko
But still, in canon she feels less snarky than in my fanon.
I think all videogames were based on anime. It's usually like that with most fandoms. I have yet to see a game based in a manga, or in a manga canon. I never take videogames as canon because who knows who works on the script.
But perhaps the Mokonas don't get easily tired because they're magical. Besides, they can bounce. I try not to think what was Yuuko doing during the CCS canon because I'm 90% sure CLAMP never thought

Neither does mine, and neither do the raws :D; I do remember the anime saying '30 years', though.. I wonder why they added that?
