(no subject)
Boyfriend has decided we should go to Seattle and see his parents over the weekend. This wouldn't be problematic except that he made this decision five minutes ago and wants to be on the road in two hours maximum.
YOU CANNOT JUST PACK UP AND LEAVE FOR THREE DAYS WITHOUT PLANNING FOR IT.
We just took on babysitting a friend's garden and we have two cats that might need to be taken care of while we're in Seattle for 3 or 4 days.
Just sayin'.
Unfortunately his entire family supports and endorses this not-planning-for-anything-ever routine. They think I'm crazy that I would like to know if someone is coming to visit and vice versa AHEAD OF TIME. It's just common sense! It's common courtesy! It's not as if I don't want to hang out with them--it's that I would like to make sure hanging out with them won't result in my cats starving to death and/or my house is clean when they show up on my doorstep.
