The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage (Remix)
By Panic! At the Disco. {lyrics}
This is off of the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack, which is an album that is as much fun as candy-coated crack (aside from remixing the All-American Rejects, who should probably just be shot and put out of their misery. Seriously. Planet Overkill called, they want Tyson back). Apparently if you remix P!atD and give them a heavy bassline and I never, ever have to look at Ryan Ross once I will love them to death. Who knew?

Wine Red (Remix)
By The Hush Sound. {lyrics}
Again, remixing bands that I sort of went "MEH" to in the beginning? Gold. GOLD. This song is catchy catchy catchy. I think my attraction to remixes comes from the fact that I really only need to focus on sound and nothing else. Nothing against the Hush Sound, when I saw them live they were nice.

Electric Demons in Love
By Electric Six. {lyrics}
If ACDC met up with Tom Jones and had a kid, Electric Six would be this kid. If said kid was raised listening to the Misfits and hanging out with the Darkness too much. I don't know. Go listen. Read the lyrics. Then you may have Dance Commander and Naked Pictures of Your Mother, which are their other two well-known songs. And no, I will not include Danger! High Voltage, because Jack White scares the poop out of me.

True Believers
By The Bouncing Souls. {lyrics}
Long live bands like OpIvy, Rancid, Social D, and the Bouncing Souls for reminding everyone that punk can be fun. Punk is supposed to be fun. Punk can be anti-establishment, but this whole "it's about the music and by that I mean it's about my hair" thing has got to go. I think you're catchy, Yellowcard, I really do, but you gotta knock it off.

5-3-10-4
By The Alkaline Trio. {lyrics}
Okay, I sort of suck because I was totally gonna burn Remains onto my computer and get you guys some of that nice new shit, but...it's in my car and my burner sucks balls anyway. Go beg koneko41 or booshgal33 for a song called "Buried," it's my new obsession. But instead of Danny being beautiful and fatalistic, we'll have Matt Skiba being bitter and vengeful. Okay, not exactly vengeful, but this song, combined with some choice video accounts of Mr. Skiba taking action against bullies, further cements the idea in my brain that someone got more swirlies than necessary as a small child. Or shoved in lockers. Skinny fucker.

Calm Before the Storm
By Fall Out Boy. {lyrics}
Patrick, Patrick, Patrick. I adore you. I want your babies. Out of all the FOB I've listened to I will always like Take This To Your Grave the best, mostly because it's the most 'hands on' Patrick's been on their record--the songs are mostly his lyrics, before he let Pete's grubby "car-crash heart" emo shit get in the way. I love this song. The beginning hooked me instantly because it's so, so Patrick. I love the sweet self-deprecating way Patrick has with his lyrics, as opposed to Pete's cocky little melodramatic emo-ese. *pets Patrick*

Walk Like a Zombie
By The HorrorPops. {lyrics}
This is all there_is_peace's fault. I was feeling odd and went out to buy a CD on impulse, and this was one he recommended. Just for everyone else's info, there_is_peace's music taste differs from mine a whoooole bunch, hence why I'm sticking his darling Patricia right next to my darling Patrick, just to annoy him further. *laughs* Anyway, rockabilly and whatnot isn't my thing, but this is one catchy little tune. Also, any song that is about ZOMBIES is okay in my book. ZOMBIES.

Fuck the Pain Away
By Peaches. {lyrics}
Mmmm, who doesn't like Peaches? And who doesn't like Jackass: The Movie 2? This song has been running through my mp3 player over and over ever since I went and saw that damn flick. So NAUGHTY.

Spastic Society
By The Network. {lyrics}
Yeah, I know that half of you already have this song, but this is probably my favorite cut from darling little Van Gough/Mike Dirnt. I think this one really shows off his ultimate dorkiness. That and I wander around for three days singing "Automatic...autostatic" on loop and my coworkers think I've lost it.

The La-Z-Boy 500
By The Falcon. {lyrics}
I would have uploaded this entire CD, along with about 3 other albums, but again, zipping and burning right now seems to not be my strong point. I'm frustrated because this isn't my fave Falcon song, but if you wanted more you can probably talk to Kat and grab it up. The Falcon is a really good example of hard-hitting vocals, excellent musicianship, and extremely resonant lyrics. And there's CLAPPING!

*Edited some language, since I was apparently writing the same sentence over and over. Sorry, I was distracted by Paddywhack's ass.

Speaking of which, go read World Would Fade Away by notthequiettype. Yeah. I jumped the boat from gen to wincest to weecest in like, two seconds. Hey, but OnlySixteen!Sammy isn't that bad, right? Mmmm, god. You don't have to know shit about the fandom, that's just good, porn right there. Makes you ache in the good ways and the bad ways.
