As started by tasyfa and angie_aiken, I am back from the dead in order to serve up a piping hot Top Five Songs, brought to you by the letter "C," for cheerleader.
This is a twist on the Letter Meme. Instead of coming up with ten items for a certain letter, you come up with five song titles for a certain letter and explain why you picked them.

- - tasyfa gave me the letter "C" because I was a cheerleader, and I remember almost every ride on that crappy, stupid schoolbus included this song, as well as early Shakira and a couple of Sublime and Weezer songs.
"Cheeseburger in Paradise," by Jimmy Buffett. {lyrics}
- - When I was a little girl I loved Jimmy Buffett and COUNTRY music. My love for both has waned, but I have distinct memories of belting this out in the car with my mom and being very proud when I finally learned all the words.
"Chop Suey," by System of a Down. {lyrics}
- - Remember how I said that I listened to country? When I started to "rebel" I was hiding La Bouche and Backstreet Boys CDs under my bed. And then I remember sneaking onto the computer late one night and reading a very random Gundam Wing 1x2 fic that included lyrics from this song. I, knowing absolutely nothing about this band, downloaded this song and was then completely lost to rock and roll forever. Toxicity still remains one of my favorite albums of all time.

- - What, you thought they weren't going to make the list? I almost included "Continental," as being the ultimate Mike/Billie song of early Est. logs, but this song is better. Ohhhhh, I love this baby. So bitter. So perfect. Mmmmph.
"Cosmic Castaway," by Electrasy. {lyrics}
- - HEE. This is off of the Titan A.E. soundtrack, and the only reason I'm including it is because I really, really want to watch that movie again, although it's been years. No idea where the urge came from but WE WANTS IT, PRECIOUS.
In other news, work has gone to hell in a handbasket (it's turned into The Apprentice, honestly, since we're all waiting to be fired), an arsonist is on the loose, a friend from high school fell asleep at the wheel and killed a woman on the highway near where I live. Oh, and school is coming up and I'm moving into a new apartment. Save me?
Or at least rec me some decent House, M.D. fic while I pour over the want ads.
