Valentine's Day.
Quick update for my adoring fans:
Valentine's Day rocked. I'm somewhat surprised to find myself saying that because I never expect Valentine's Days to be AMAZING, just good or bad. (I expected this year to be good--for the record.)
Tonight I went to Kevin's house and he cooked dinner for me. It was quite excellent; he made broiled chicken with a tropical marinade, lemon and chive red potatoes, and green beans with lemon butter. We had tiramisu from trader Joe's for dessert. It was all completely amazing. After dinner we spent some quality time relaxing, laying by the fire, talking, and watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding. (What can I say? I was in the mood for a cutesy film.)
His present for me was perfect! He got me this heart-shaped music box that you can put a picture in. He put in this wonderful picture of us from prom last year. Mrs. Mulqueeny took it when we were talking to each other and not looking at the camera. We're totally engrossed in each other and it's the loveliest picture. I gave Kevin pajama pants, a picture of us from homecoming (noticing a theme here?), and a Billy Joel CD. He said he loved his gift, so I'm REALLY excited!
But, alas, it's getting late. So time for some beauty rest.
