Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas, has a very merry one. Beyond that, happy holidays to all. :)

I haven't posted in a while, and I don't really plan on making a gargantuan post right now. I just got home from midnight mass with Kevin. I really enjoyed the mass. It was joyous and it made sense (something I haven't found much of in the Catholic church...). I also enjoy the priest at Kevin's church because he's a genuinely nice guy and he gives lovely homalies. (sp?) Also, going to church with Kevin makes me feel very close to him. It's oddly intimate, and I like to learn about Catholicism because it's so important to Kevin. Now, to recap the past few days...

Last night Kevin and I had Christmas together. We went downtown to skate in Millenium park. It was honestly perfect. It snowed while we were downtown, so it was just beautiful. We ate dinner at Bennigan's on Michigan Ave. Then we exchanged gifts. I gave him the tickets to Blue Man Group (which we're going to see Monday). He loved them. *PHEW* I'm so glad that he did! And he gave me a wonderful movie night kit. It has a gorgeous wine-colored throw, a popcorn maker (one of the ones you use over the stove!), popcorn, devine Frango mint hot cocoa, and two movies (Breakfast at Tiffany's and Singing in the Rain). It was wonderful. We watched Singing in the Rain, and it was great! It was the first time I had seen it, but I loved it.

Tonight we had Christmas Eve with my grandparents. We began with various appetizers including shrimp. (Yum!) Then we had an exquisite beef roast with twice baked potatoes and salad. After dinner we opened presents, which was nice. I took lots of pictures, which made my mom happy. She's always been afraid that she'll never be remembered because she's never in any of the pictures. So when I take lots of pictures of her, she's ecstatic. Tonight was a little sad, however. Murphy has terrible arthritis, and he had trouble walking and being comfortable all night. He was standing up and his legs collapse from under him, which was really sad. My parents think that we'll have to put him to sleep sometime soon... Also, my grandpa was somewhat sad. I wish I knew why, but I don't. I hope he feels better.

Well, this post has turned out to be longer than I planned. I'm going to go to bed now, being that it's two AM. Tomorrow we have much family togetherness and present opening. So that should be nice. Merry Christmas.

Also, Abe, you rock lobster! Thank you so much for the paid time!!!!!!
