(Not Quite) Third Day of Shooting

This isn't quite a phototshoot, per say - it's more of a test to explore posing possiblities and concept development.

Most of the photos are taken late evening or at night, and using the (dreaded) flash. XD I use flash almost everywhere though, even outdoors, so I can bring out the colour of their eyes. I tilt the hotshoe-mounted flash to the side, so when it flashes their faces are sidelit to reduce harsh shadows. The light is further softened by reducing the flash intensity and a softbox over it (y'know, the white cap?). I also try to position the dolls such that the light hits them at a nice angle - this takes trail and error.

Sophie looks good with curls framing her face! <3 But that wig falls off at the slightest touch (it fell off at least ten times during the shoot...) since it's technically resting on her ears. =A= The fringe can reach her chin if I let it sit normally. Elis is a queen in her story!

The girls accept your regards lovingly, heh. Methinks they miss Yuuhi and Ichigo. I put Toby beside them too, but he looks quite odd beside them! >_< My mom doesn't go into my room, so I'm not sure if she knows. My dad likes to watch me take photos of them, though.

I dread using flash as well, but we use it all the time too, because that's the only way to not make the picture look very dark... But our camera's flash is very strong. >.< (LOL so we use tissue paper as the softbox!) I think I need to fold the tissue paper over more times to make the lighting less harsh, and more dreamlike and soft, like yours. *takes out notebook and scribbles Rene's wise words down* XD

That wig is SD-sized, right? 8D Sophie's hair is naturally straight (supposed to be), but curls are so pretty... *A* Oh no, I swore to keep to one wig per dollie.

Oh my, Ichigo would probably mistake them for some new-fangled kind of bones and chew them to bits. XD Yuuhi misses her sisters too, though. :D LOL my mum snoops around all the time. We secretly bought a Kuroshitsuji artbook at Cosfest a long time ago, and hid it, but she found it in the end. I saved my skin by acting dumb. :O

LOL. Wan just googled "OOAK". XD She's flattered. 8D

Poor dears. I expect that Fëor would thump Lëor if she could (like she did to Dëor a long time ago).

Yup. It fits Reiko, but the colour in real life doesn't suit her.

I'm glad my parents leave my stuff alone (well, most of the time, anyway). My mum did ask why there were so many wigs lying around the house! >_<
