Yay!
I'm so, so, so happy I managed to remember my dates for H2 Art! <3 I stayed up making a list of notable art pieces, sorted by art movement, artist and date (in alphabetical and chronological order). And then I found photos of all the artworks in my list and loaded the ones more likely to come up into my phone, so I could go through them for a bit of last-last-last minute revision. So worth it, in the end~ I wrote until three of my fingers and lower arm hurt. Q_Q
But I studied Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art as well, so I was kinda disappointed when I got reminded me they weren't tested. Oh well. Pop Art has the easiest dates to remember (most of Warhol's works are dated 1962). I find Renaissance dates the hardest, probably 'cos they all occur in the 15th century. Oh, and the prefect song to accompany the studying of Pop Art is Cartoon Heroes by Aqua. It fits the theme of Pop Art really well - all about having fun, consumerism and American comic art.
TWINS: Was your test the same as ours? With Monet's Impression, Sunrise and Duchamp's L.H.O.O.Q. for the questions in Section A? I think most people did Monet's, but I just couldn't remember the title of his other works so I did Duchamp's instead. For Section B I picked the Impressionism vs Impressionism and Post-Impressionism vs Cubism. I think the reaction of most people upon seeing Veristic Surrealism vs Automatic Surrealism was to skip it. XD
And the last subjct before celebrating is Biology! I have celebrations planned for tomorrow, immediately after the test (barbeque dinner with friends), Friday (lunch with dad and sis), Saturday (COSFEST WOOT!) and of course Sunday (sister's birthday~)!
I can't believe that with all the tests, I nearly forgot about Cosfest IX (thinking back on last year's Cosfest goodies... whee~)! I haven't even planned what camera/lens and which of the resin crew to bring. Thinking of stealing my dad's new 24-70 f2.8 lens... But the 85mm f1.4 would scare the heck outta the other photogs. *muses* Dolly customs have invaded my camera habits, I did a box opening for the new lens. Will post photos after the test, I swear. I have a ton of photos to upload, from macaroons to chocolate fudge to tea! :D~
