Melbourne has been great so far! The weather is lovely and cool (except the unbearably hot days the second week I was here), and my studies are not thaaaaat difficult yet because it's mostly things I've learnt back in high school. I adore my new room, and there's always plenty of fun with my classmates and even the people in the year ahead of me. It really is a much more diverse group when compared with my high school buddies.
Notable happenings include my shiny new car which is my baby right now, a first visit to one of the hottest Melbourne clubs -- Alumbra's black-tie anniversary event -- and an upcoming road trip over Easter, all the way down the Great Ocean Road to sightsee with my friends. Busy month so far, indeed, and many firsts in my life. I don't think I've experienced this degree of freedom and independence before, and it's definitely a refreshing change. I've gotten a bit more bold about talking to complete strangers and getting lost on the road, too.
One sad, sad drawback is having to do household chores, which I don't actually mind except for washing dishes. I have a vendetta against dishwashing. I might have to look for pretty plates and mugs so at least I can feel some cheer when doing the dishes -- just like how my bed is PRETTIEST BED EVER and makes me want to sleep all the time... not that that's a good thing!
Really glad I brought my dolls with me, because it's nice to have something familiar and fun and relaxing when the stress kicks in. And they're essential to keeping my photography spark alive and burning, and relearning all the joys of, well, playing with toys. I finally got around to self-portraits of myself with Auri, which I've always wanted to do.

Looking forward to many more experiences of a life in Melbourne! I have yet to explore the city because everyone tells me it's really hard to navigate around in there, and I have no idea how the public transport system works, except that there's this Myki card thing which has credit you can put in. Also, most buses don't run on weekends here, which is crazy! Weekends are when people want to go out and play! If Singapore ever stopped buses on the weekends there'll be a public outcry and the government would combust spontaneously from the rage of 5 million people directing all their hate at them.
