I had yesterday off from work, but had to go in anyway to get some paperwork and filing done. I decided to take the boys with me and let them do the filing. I mean, really, if they can't put things in alphabetical order by their age, it's high time they learned. Lucky for them that they're already old hands at alphabetizing as I insist that our DVDs be put in alphabetical order so that I can find things.
After much moaning and groaning, they got down to it while I got started on the mound of paperwork still on my desk. After a while, Younger Son said, "Mom, I can't find the K-L's." (Remember that it's a small-town clinic; apparently we have only one patient whose last name starts with K-L.) I told him to keep looking and he'd find it. Eventually he said, "Oh, the devil with it. I put it between Kite and Knight and called it done."
Being the visually-oriented person that I am, I had to think about that for a moment before I let him know that was the perfect place for that chart.
