Weekend Update - even though the weekend is technically over
Busy, busy weekend. Much gardening done both Saturday and Sunday. My garden is almost planted. Older Son's garden has been planted for a couple of weeks now. Younger Son's garden was planted Sunday.
Made a quick trip to Lowe's for more plants Saturday afternoon. Much fun had there.
Younger Son went on an overnight camping trip Friday night with his church group. LOL All the boys had to cook their own meals. I would have so loved to see all those boys trying to cook over an open fire. They were all required to bring a frying pan and spatula/flipper as part of their gear. Friday night they all made hamburgers. Younger Son swears his wasn't burned at all and that it was very good. Breakfast Saturday morning was supposed to be bacon and eggs. The first three pieces of bacon turned out "kinda crispy" according to YS. The scrambled eggs apparently turned out so badly that he was forced to fix two more slices of bacon. He said there was no way he was eating those eggs. Archery, rifle shooting and an obstacle course rounded out the trip. Good time had by all. :D
Went to Mom's this afternoon after finishing the gardening. She's needed the ceiling fan in her livingroom replaced for months now. I picked up a new one for her yesterday while I was out and about. Today I installed it for her. LOL Mom is useless with electrical gadgets and Step-dad is useless with anything that doesn't require gardening tools. As for me, I've successfully installed three ceiling fans in my home so that, apparently, makes me the family expert. We managed to get theirs put up with a minimum of difficulty and the parents are highly pleased. LOL You'd think I'd invented the ceiling fan.
