Watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics this evening. Nice job, Canada! I'm not a huge fan of winter sports, so a compliment from Yours Truly should go a long way.
I'm calling Bull Shit on Apollo Ohno. You pushed the Canadian. He fell down. The judge was right to disqualify you. Taking the Sour Grapes approach and saying that of course the judge would side with the Canadian because the judge was also Canadian is, in my opinion, poor sportsmanship. Man Up!!
Congratulations to the Canadian hockey team. Not a fan of hockey at all (sorry, enchanted_jae), but I was glad to see Canada win that gold on their home turf.
Oh, btw, enchanted_jae, Older Son will be going to see the Dallas whatever-they're-called play hockey during Spring Break. I'll try my best to get him to pick up a schedule for you since I know you like those. He'll be in Dallas March 18-20 and I think they're going to the game on the first night.
There's been some sort of sinus ick going round. I think I'm coming down with it. My throat has been sore all day and my head feels like it's been stuffed full of cotton. I blame it on my Thursday evening client. She's a complete invalid and has no concept of what germs are. She decided to share said germs several times Thursday night by sneezing on me. Sweet girl. /sarcasm
Hopefully it'll clear up soon. We're supposed to have some beautiful weather the middle of this week and I'd hate to be laid up with a head cold during it. There are still more Things To Do outside. I have a new rose garden to dig up. Mom is giving me several of her roses because she doesn't want them any more. She called today to ask if I was ready for them. NO, OF COURSE NOT! IT'S BEEN F*CKING RAINING/SNOWING FOR WEEKS!
