And you've abandoned him
All dark hair, light eyes and pouty lips
For the phoenix
Flame red hair, green eyes, though lips not as soft
And broke the keeper of the black diamond
And stolen his keys
Yet he can never be upset
Screaming, crying, breaking, dying
Because for a time you gazed
And he shone so brightly
Cracks and chips ignored
Then left in the dust for brighter fare
The moon forsaken for the sun
He orbited you
And caused a great rending of the heart
Because forever lived on his lips and heart alone
He was just for now
The door stays open but the lights turned off
Simply because he lost his keys (to you)
And so long, you both lived there together
He forgot to pay the bills when you left
joy, happiness, hope, friendship, love
And gave into his vices
cutting, drugs, sex, lies
You were the one to stop him
But now you're his enabler
With every face turned away
Every whispered, forgotten plea
please, help, i love you
Gleaming eyes gone grey
And you broke the world and everything in it
Shattered the core
And planet ran red
From the center on land and sea
Eliot got it wrong
Because
